These are the Light Eaters
from The Enchanted World Book called
"The Book of Beginnings".
The People knew that
Eclipses were caused by
the hungry wicked Monsters
who perpetually stalked
the celestial Bodies like
the Wolf was howling from
the
Scandinavian Spruce Forest of Norway,
a sinuous Chinese Dragon
from China and the giant Fish
from the magical Bestiary
of the Jews from Israel.
Nevertheless, one of the
Creatures sprang at its prey and took a Bite
and all of sudden, the Sky
went dark.
