Dead Weddell Seal Pup

This must be a dead Weddell Seal Pup on the Ocean Floor of Antarctic Sea 

from the Episode called "Creatures of the Deep". 

These Red Sea Stars, little Shrimps, and ravenous Nemertean Worms 

were feeding on a Weddell Seal Pup's Corpse during Time lapsing. 

Pretty creepy, Huh? 

I wonder what killed the Weddell Seal Pup. 

This Seal's Dead Body wouldn't be easy to eat. 

All Nemertean Worms have 

Harpoon-like Snouts to 

puncture the Skin of 

the Seal Carcass. 

These Sea Stars pressed their Stomachs against the Skin of the Seal's Corpse 

to secretes digestive Juices to dissolves 

the Seal Tissue. 

All Scavengers were feeding 

throughout the Summer.

And finally, the dead Seal Pup became a Skeleton, stripped bare.
